About JL

Welcome to all things data, education, and organization. It’s everything I love. No… seriously, I could not imagine working on anything else.

My journey in education began when I moved from Cincinnati to Chicago, where I taught at a small, legal-themed charter school in West Garfield Park. After some years teaching and coaching in Chicago (and introducing a very stubborn little girl to the world), I decided to move back to Cincinnati. I spent a year as an instructional coach for Cincinnati Public School District before landing a dream job as a data coach (how many times have you heard someone say that??) in the North College Hill (NCH) School District. I have since been promoted to the District Data Coordinator.

I continue to leave my impact on the district by supporting the teachers in analyzing data, making it much easier for them to do so, and bringing value to the data the district receives from the multiple platforms they use. BUT that’s not enough for me. I’ve branched out to work with several other schools and districts all over the US (and even some in Canada).

My goal is always to put systems in place so that schools and districts are organized and set up to accomplish big things. It might also be relevant to state that I have a Bachelor of Secondary Education from Northern Kentucky University and a M. Ed. in Learning and Technology from Western Governors University.
